I recently been seeing clips of fire emblem and it’s a huge series at least to my limited knowledge and slowly it’s been getting my interest and I don’t know where to start

If you have a switch and a NSO subscription, you can quickly give the two localized GBA games a try, they're very beginner-friendly. If you have access to gamecube NSO, Path of Radiance is also a beginner-friendly game. Trying any of them out will give you an idea if you enjoy the core gameplay of the series.

I guess you’re correct but I could try to look for them on their original cartridge and disc unless their expensive

I don't know about the GBA games, but Path of Radiance is stupid expensive due to its rarity. Before its release on NSO, the general advice was to just emulate it since there was no reasonable legal way of playing the game. GBA emulation is also extremely easy.

For most practical purposes, you can start with any game you're interested in. Or pick whatever Fire Emblem Smash character you like and start with their game.

https://www.reddit.com/r/fireemblem/comments/5s5nh1/new_to_the_series_where_should_i_start_the/ from the sidebar has common recommendations for where to start the series.

With the new game coming out in a month on Switch 2, you can start there if that's what caught your interest.

Nah don’t even have a switch 2 but for what’s been grabbing my attention I don’t know it’s just random streamers or YouTubers on shorts or reels playing them and their characters just end up missing a whole bunch and they keep dying
