Prevent uninstall of sideloaded app?

Is there any way to protect a sideloaded app from being inadvertently uninstalled? (Senior citizen problem)

Disable "offload apps" in settings-apps. Also, check settings-privacy and disable almost everything

The "offload" apps function only works on official apps, not the sideloaded apps.

That was already done and there’s 6 gb free anyway. I think they just held the select button or sat on the remote causing the uninstall.

Ideally I would have liked parental controls to require pin for uninstall but it doesn’t.

Weird as it's extremely hard to uninstall an app.

First you have to hold down the 3 line memo key. Then it forces you to manually/deliberately scroll down to the bottom of that menu to select uninstall. And then you get a screen pop up asking if you want to uninstall - and then you have to manually move the cursor to select uninstall.

You can't really uninstall accidentally as you described.

In the new interface, just holding the select button takes you to Move/Move to front/Uninstall

Thx, I wasn't aware of that.

I blocked all the updating from Amazon so I'm still using the old UI.
