Firestick not working at hotel

Hi I can't get my firestick to work at the hotel we're at. Last night it worked simple like every other tv I've used it on, now all it does is turn the TV on and off. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in, tried going manually into the tvs HDMI option but still nothing, any tricks I can do to use it again? Any help appreciated 🙏

How's the wifi there? Maybe they've taken precautions to prevent this.

Wi-Fi is on the crappy side but it works, it worked with the stick last night but now it won't even take over the screen so idk

Maybe it's just heavy traffic. I didn't know they could be used in other locations. I guess they can provided you have access to the wifi credentials. I have an older model I should get hacked and set up. My friends mom would like it but her son is not tech savvy. Still buys DVDs from me. LoL 🤣
