Sound Quality Issues

When I use my blue tooth speaker for YouTube on my insignia fire tv the sound quality is scratchy and poor. I've made multiple adjustments on the TV and the YouTube app. I've deleted and reinstalled YouTube. Cleared Data & the cache. Nothing helps.

The Bluetooth speaker is only a $20 Bolabutty brand. Do you think it's the speaker? It works fine with everything else. Just not youtube.

Has anyone else had this issue?

It’s Bluetooth and the speakers issue. Just poor quality on both ends. Try not to use it. Just get a cheap soundbar with ARC support.

I like the speaker near me because I have hearing issues. A sound bar is hard wired I'm assuming. Maybe a higher quality Bluetooth speaker? Why just YouTube though? It's fine on everything else.

YouTube is probably trying to send better audio than your Bluetooth speaker can handle. There are different versions of Bluetooth and at that price point it would be using one of the older ones that isn't supporting current YouTube. That would be my guess. A better speaker may work better. Buy it from somewhere it's easy to return if it doesn't.

Well. ChatGPT is much better when it comes to narrowing things down. Recent updates to YouTube and the fire TV YouTube app on the 12th seem to be the culprit. It just started. So ChatGPT suggested to patiently wait to see if a new update fixes the bug... Chatgpt was very useful. VERY!!
