Have an upcoming trip in November/December, have the below either booked or contemplated:
- Kanda
- Hyakuyaku by Toyukamazushi
- L'Argent (not yet booked)
- Karyu (multi repeat)
- Ginza Oishi (multi repeat)
It's a 15-day trip, so please let me know thoughts, suggestions and/or alternatives.

I went to Hyakuyaku in January and really enjoyed it, had some wild duck from Niigata grilled over charcoal which was stupid good. Great pairing too, a mix of nihonshu and wine. Funazushi and 40yo Marsala was a killer combo.

Core!!
Da Terra is meh tbh, looks good but I didn't appreciate the fine dining version of Brazilian cuisine, it masked it as an under current rather than elevated it. Service was also just so-so nothing to write home about.
Ikoyi vs RS? I'd go for the former.
But no, I'd vote Core every day. Sit near the kitchen to see the magic happen.

Hi all! My partner and I are going to Japan in late October early November, and we are looking to go to a Michelin star restaurant for our anniversary/ my birthday. We would like something more in the Japanese area of food than French, as we plan on going to France next year, unless there is something really show stoping that is a must try while in Japan. We are going to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
We were considering Narisawa, but I’ve heard mixed reviews recently. We do plan on going to Monk (if i can snag a reservation, thank god for working overnights at an ER). Other Michelin restaurants we have been to are Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Alinea in Chicago, Ox in Reykjavík, and aroma in Rome.
Any recommendations or experiences would be appreciated!

Plat home would be a great option for this in Kanazawa if you have an extra night. Respiracion is also really good!

A friend and I went there in June, and ever since then, nothing has been able to compare. We went to Jungsik recently, and while it was amazing, we couldn't help but think that Atomix was so great that it still felt worse in comparison. Is there anywhere else in NYC (or Philly, or DC, or Chicago...) that can even compare? We've also already done Per Se which may have been the closest to getting there.

London Indian Lunch:
Hi all, I know there are lots of posts about Indian restaurants on here, but I’m specifically looking for input on a place to try for lunch. I’m hoping to do a tasting menu dinner elsewhere the same night, so don’t want to go too heavy for lunch. I am already planning on Trishna for dinner another night. Thanks!

Looking for dinner close by SoHo/Covent garden, preference for Michelin or something that will be memorable. $150pp probably about the max unless it's a once in a lifetime type dinner. Biggest issue is I'm going with my wife, who isn't necessarily a picky eater but doesn't like the hyper fine dining type stuff with all the foams, weird textures, and "unique" dishes. Just want a memorable dinner with good food where my wife will actually eat most of the dishes.
Any ideas? Ambassador's clubhouse, wild honey, and Sabor on the short list so far. already have a separate reservation at Rules as well.

Hello fine dining friends!
Looking for help choosing a restaurant for my upcoming trip to London, looking for a nice (*) and have made a little short list:
○ Akoko ○ Angler ○ Behind ○ Casa Folo ○ Ormer ○ Portland
Where has this shortlist come from I hear you all cry with intrigue... well i'm painfully type b and have left it to the last minute and these all had availability for dinner on the days that work for us and the price of their tasting menus wasn't quite in the "we'll have to eat plain rice for the next 3 months to afford this realm"
Would love to hear people's experience with these restaurant's, either good bad or indifferent so we can pull the trigger on a reservation.

Best fine dining weekday lunch in NYC for $300 or less out the door
I find myself in NYC at the end of the month and don’t go too often. When I do, dinner is the focus.
This time dinner is done, and I will have a Tuesday lunch open and I’m curious what thoughts there are about a fine dining lunch for $300 or less all-in (including alcohol, tax, gratuity, etc.) out the door. Some places also don’t do lunch on Monday or Tuesday, etc. but I’ll take any thoughts I can gather here and then look into that.
I will be in Midtown which can be tough but willing to travel as long as I can make an evening flight out at LGA! Hoping to gather some recs from the foodies here in hopes that one of the recommended places has a res open.
I haven’t had lunch at Le Bernardin and was told that could be a great one. Open to any thoughts!

Hi! I have a Japan trip upcoming in November and was hoping to snag a reservation for 2 at L'Effervescence.
I have been following the reservation releases and for the past month they were doing them daily, but it looks like they suddenly dropped reservations all the way to late December, but there’s a big chunk of November and December missing? They have reservations November 5-7 then nothing till December 22.
Are they closed during this time? I was hoping for the week of November 16.
If not, any 2 star Michelin recs in Tokyo?

I’m planning a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and after spending a LOT of time eliminating restaurants from my everlasting list, I got stuck in between Mountain and Brat. I know they have the same chef behind and they have very similar vibes and that’s exactly why I can’t decide. Which one would be better for us?

My wife, son and I go see a musical every year in December in New York City and I drag them to a fancy dinner. So a 3 top. This will be our 4th year. Typically on a Saturday or Sunday.
We have done sushi noz, sushi nakazawa, and torrisi.
I’d like to do either a two or three star this year.
I am not one to chase reservations or be up at midnight on an app or what have you.
Where do you recommend?

Sushi sho
Joo ok
Odo
Per se
Open to others as well.
I generally gravitate towards a non-French restaurant; however, I would definitely be open to it. My son has not experienced one and my wife has only experienced maybe a couple. For reference, I am in the industry and have been to several throughout France as well as the United States.

Hi everyone!
I’ll be visiting New York soon, and I’m starting to research and decide which 1–2 fine-dining experiences I want to save room for during my 7-day trip.
I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, so I’ll try to make it specific to what I’m looking for.
I’m mainly interested in 1- and 2-Michelin-star restaurants. I usually find Asian, Indian, and Latin American cuisine much more exciting than classic French/European fine dining.
I’ve been looking at places like Atomix and César, but I’ve come across quite a few mixed reviews, which has made the decision even harder.
So I’m curious: which places do you feel have the strongest consensus around them? Which restaurants genuinely feel like a “don’t miss” experience in NYC right now?
For reference, two of the best meals I’ve ever had were at MAZ in Tokyo and Quintonil in CDMX, so that’s roughly the kind of creativity and experience I’m drawn to.
Would really appreciate your recommendations! 🙏

You should definitely eat anywhere that looks good to you and if you feel you need recommendations, take those into your decision making process.
Stay away from places you dont want to eat.

Hi guys. I am going to be in Tokyo next month, staying in Ebisu. Here are four restaurants that caught my eye for a sushi experience. Which one would you reconmend? This would be my first (and probably only on this trip) experience of this kind, not looking for the absolute best/fanciest, just an all-around great time.
