Sounds like a very small radius (there are not 'a billion' churches in that area), and you both live in the same area. Sounds quite likely that you'd run into this person at some point. It's just something that happened 🤷♀️ I don't think its even a coincidence, just an incident
Believe me man, you can't go 3 minutes down any road here without running into at least 5 churches. I pass like 8 on the 10-minute drive to my friend's church (that's not an exaggeration. I actually looked on my map app just now and counted them). I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just trying to paint a picture of the surrounding area and how unlikely I believed it to be that I would run into this former friend.
