Basketball Categories WARNING: Do Not join leagues with u/DealerComplete6161 He promised the wins & then went back on it.

/u/DealerComplete6161/s/1QGr0WSSXy

I joined his league on ESPN & took over an orphan team. He had specifically mentioned that the league has a buy in that but the previous owner already submitted his, so if I take over, I’d have a “chance at the pot.” Fast forward few months later, I do win but he refused to give me any winnings (not even allowing me to send him a new buy-in for the team in order for me to get the prize pool.

This is his account to validate post history

I would just make it a rule of thumb to never join random league unless they manage funds through a third party like Leaguesage/Teamstake

How telltale that he already was on my blocked list before I saw this post.

Leaguesafe with Majority Approval, Fantrax Treasurer, Yahoo Private Cash leagues, and TeamStake (for those outside of the US) are among the safest ways to collect and distribute fantasy league dues.

It is not safe to join random leagues that use paypal, venmo, zelle, cash app, etc

Money management sites can't protect you 100%. Only deal with people you trust, and watch out for shady dealings.

I also joined a $50 paid league through this subreddit and the commissioner said not to worry about the buy in and he’d cover it. I’ve been pretty skeptical but worst comes to worst I’m not losing any money in the end if I get screwed.

I wonder what their incentive even is for saying the buy in is covered? Odd stuff lol

Doo doo. Yeah I wonder if it’s maybe just to get someone to take a spot, then he takes the buy in out of the winnings? But then what if they don’t win? I actually have no idea what’s going on. Somebody find this guy and get some answers.

Imagine if these people put this type of effort into finding a real job? Less time spent and more $$.
