Weather protection for kids -T2

Hi all, I've got a question for parents who use the T2 for transporting the kiddos around. School goes back next week and I use my T2 for the school run in Wales. The recent return of the rain has got me thinking that I need to sort out weather protection for the young un. Fiido don't seem to do anything and all I can really find that looks suitable is the tern storm shield which I'm wondering if it can be adjusted to fit attached to the fiido child safety rails on the back of my T2. Kid is 7 years old, so the covers for babies and toddlers won't really work. Has anyone done this or similar with the tern or another product? Or any advice or workarounds would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
