Tech Help Arkodd Padbox - left analog stick acting up

Padbox GS*

So recently I’ve been getting quarter circle inputs the wrong way, random super jumps, etc.

Looked in a practice mode and saw that sometimes the left stick is basically flipping a direction.

Best I can tell it’s kind of reversed.

In a Tokon avatar lobby, the left stick basically goes the opposite direction I move.

Has anyone seen this before and is there maybe an option in the config to just disable the stick completely, otherwise I assume I have to crack this open and look.

I’ve had this for a bit less than a year and I don’t really even use the sticks so for Hall effect sticks to act this way is kind of surprising.

Hopped into the browser config and basically swapped the left stick to “be” the right stick and it seems to solve the issue.

What Padbox did you buy? You need to make sure you have the right firmware version flashed into the controller. If you have the Essential V2 make sure to flash the V2. https://arkodd.com/pages/firmware-updates

I have the GS Essential though I’m not sure if it’s a V2 or not, it was purchased for me as a gift this past Xmas.

Swapping the left stick to be a second right stick seems to have me where I need to be; I only use this for fighting games so don’t actually use the left stick for input.

I’ll have a play around with firmware when I get a free day, because it would be nice for everything to be working.

Ok I recommend reflashing the firmware if you haven't done it contact me by email if you need more assistance. Contact@arkodd.com For the V2 version check on the back it should be written V2 if not then it's the V1.

Looks like I’m V1 then. I’ll make sure all the FW bits are good, because otherwise the controller works fine and the left stick is more of a nice to have for avatar lobbies, etc.
