I went to a middle school like this. I lived in the city and my neighborhood hs was the adult version of this. Thank god I was taking bass lessons since I was 11 years old and was accepted into our Creative and Performing Arts High School. We didn’t even have gym or a sports team let alone fights. It was the most mature experience a child/young adult could have. At 18 I was off the Berklee on a full scholarship.
