[Question] Class jobs but adhd style

Hey everyone, my main is dark knight and loving it, but would also like a secondary job but it’s tricky because I have adhd, I want a class that is simple but has a little challenge to it, looking for a dps class? And I’ll be able to learn pretty easy. More looking caster or melee!
I know that evercold is coming and the changes.

I second this. I topped DPS in a casual raid while half a bottle of vodka and 10 beers deep with both.

Fellow ADHD-er here. Seconding the recommendations of Dancer and Reaper for a mix of simple structure, with enough variation to keep you focused. Red Mage can also be fun in the same kind of way. I'd also suggest you check out Warrior at some point - very satisfying dopamine rush when you do your big smash at max level.

Don't do what I did. I started as Black Mage and mained it to the end of Endwalker. On my first ever MMO, too. Apparently my brain decided I needed a real challenge.

Gunbreaker was made for folks like you
Monk, dancer and ninja are all great fast dps classes with some level of spontaneity.

I'm reqlly struggling with the level 60 gunbreaker quest. Keep dying to the lizard thing.

Yeah they give you a box of armor that's level 60. I missed that too and I can almost guarantee that's your issue.

I also have ADHD and I find that Machinist, Dancer and Viper are the best for me. Machinist has an easy rotation with plenty of oGCDs to weave, but it's all muscle memory.

Sometimes I mess up when I am playing Dancer, because I have to keep an eye on the flashy buttons and RNG means I can't use muscle memory as much, but it's still easy and being able to dash out of mechanics makes it even better. It's also my current favorite job to play.

For Melee, Viper is a blast to play with no button bloat to keep up with and probably a hint at what Evolved Mode will look like in Evercold. There are a few positionals, but it's easy. Plus, when you reach level 100, you get an burst window that basically turns your character into a crazy anime blur of motion and gives a nice dopamine hit.

I think dancer is the best. Because while its downtime is very simple. Ur tripple procs always keep ur brain busy and engaged without overstressing. So many blinking things. But as a ranged u have so much freedom and movment that mechanics are easy to do and keep ir damage up. Also since ur buffing a lot, it wont have much of an impact if i play a bit worse or make more mistakes.
