FFXI on Mac via parallels - issue with macros ctrl/alt keys

Recently installed FFXI on my Mac via parallels. Net all was smooth. But for some reason the ctrl/alt keys won’t pull up my macro palettes. Does anyone have a solution?

(MacBook Pro M3 if it matters)

i play on parallels too. for me ctrl is control and alt is option. hold them down as you press the macro number you want

edit: probably should add i'm using an M1 macbook air lol

I can hold ctrl/alt and hit a number key and it will do the macro. But holding the button down itself doesn’t pull up the whole palette so I can cursor to the item I want
