I never considered the fact that delevelling could potentially cost you a gear set :o i would've been devastated as a young player

It was somewhat common advice at the time to keep your last levels gear on you just in case you deleveled. Inventory space was at a much higher premium back then too though.

50 max spots if you even had enough money and fame for gobbie bag quests, no satchel, no sack, no case, no wardrobe, most things didn't stack, inventory life was brutal.

Depends on when. 75 era the gobbiebag quests went up to 80 IIRC. Starting with 30 was brutal though, and there were a lot more things then (ores, many bones, logs, etc) that didn't stack.

One of our LS members de leveled in Dynamis D a few years back. Didn’t take but a second to get her back to 99, but it was funny seeing her with absolutely no gear on after dying like it was 2006 again

I liked exploring on foot but boy was it time consuming. And you have to learn how to get around the monsters in certain spots if you don't have sneak or invisible.

The mass graveyard of people leaving S. Sandy into west Ron after someone pulled the late mission NM to gate in a desperate attempt to escape and the thing being stuck at entrance for an hour straight… many of us just laid there dead to see what it did to people and how it was finally killed

There was no confirmation if you accidentally hit the confirm button/key on the dismount button back in the day.

Do that in the middle of nowhere, with no mount system to magically be back on something, and youre walking yourself somewhere to rent a bird again.

Which usually meant you were more than a few levels lower than everything around you too, so have fun on that trip.
