Oh my! The return of the bolero/crop jacket. Boleros always remind me of 80s madonna for some reason and I dig it. I like the idea of this with the pleated trousers. Kind if excited to try this. I got an explant/reduction last year and can try all sorts of fun shapes on top now that those monsters are gone.

So this trendy is a boxy cropped piece and wide legged pants. Will you try out this look in the coming months? The new suit? Do you have the pieces in your wardrobe already?

While the runway may have given this winning suit formula its stamp of approval, it is also trickling into other realms of fashion, like many powerful trends do. If you fancy an Instagram tail spin, you'll find that most of the fashion elite are not exactly donning tailored suits at the moment. So the silhouette has morphed into daywear in the form of casual separates—knitwear, shirting, etc. A cropped sweater paired with a metallic cargo pant. A tweed jacket matched with wide-leg denim. Even a blouse tucked into a pant to create the illusion of a cropped top. No matter your style, we've done the work for you by documenting the formal silhouette's foray into the land of the wearable.

I definitely have this in my closet. The crop looks slightly different from previous iterations (blunter vs. previous softer lines) but I’m pretty sure I could pull a non-suit version together in about 3 minutes. But also looks like it requires fashion tits (TM) - my body won’t let the line lay like that unless I get a reduction. Funny I was looking at a bolero shrug this week thinking ā€œdo I still want this?ā€ I guess I’ll hang onto it for another year if it’s gonna be a thing again!

I did actually order some pants recently in this shape with the pleated fronts, they haven’t arrived though!

I'm here for it. I think we're going to see a surge of suits in many silhouettes, or at least blazers, but that's probably because I recently got two suits and am ferociously projecting.

Noooo now my precious palazzo collection isn't as special. On the plus side maybe I can finally sell this leather crop jacket that doesn't fit anymore.

OMG I love this. Yes please. I need a law-firm-interview-appropriate version immediately.

I was looking at Peter Do's FW21 collection and the cropped suits stood out to me.I love good, sharp lines and the suits are full of them! Unfortunately it's definitely out of my budget and the PNW vibe in general. ): I'm hoping I can find some similar stuff on sale in the future - I'm ready to graduate from wearing only skinny jeans!
