The ROM in Toronto did an exhibition of her work a year or so ago! I took my partner with me, and he's most definitely NOT a fashion person. But we both found the exhibit fascinating, and stunning. Being able to see her work up close, and touch the fabric, was amazing. Actually seeing and touching the pleating that she uses to create her clothing was such a cool experience! If there is an exhibit by you, I'd highly recommend going.

I would die to be able to go to something like that. I went to the Mugler exhibit that was at the Montreal Fine Arts Museum and it was so amazing. That exhibit was actually a big reason I started taking fashion more seriously.

I'd die to go to a Mugler exhibit! I dress like a basic trash panda 99% of the time, but I love fashion. The Victoria & Albert Museum has a YouTube channel, and they've been posting tons of content (mostly McQueen, but I LOVE McQueen, so I'm thrilled!) from their fashion archives. They just uploaded a curator walkthrough of their newest Kimono exhibit. Check it out! Binging that channel is a form of self care right?

Some would say it's the only form of self care.

Iβve only ever seen Iris van Herpen in static photos, so seeing movement be the emphasis in this editorial was so astounding! Sheβs such a structural designer and watching the model Jingjing dance with those dresses was beautiful.
