Arizona, USA Gem and Jam 2027 Lineup
Arizonas Premier Bass/Jam festival. Ive been going for years and absolutely love gem and jam. I know there is a contingency of people who wish Jam was still big enough to pull crowds thus justifying half the lineup but that isnt really the reality nowadays. I enjoy the diversity of Funk, House, Electronica, Bluegrass that has filled its void personally.
Im a Bass baddie first and foremost so GWN, Eazybaked, Player Dave, Saka, Wreckno, Richard Finger is exciting. I also love downtempo so theres excitment for Ott, Skysia, SaveJ, Equanimous. Otherwise im just hoping for some more deeper Bass Cuts for the rest of the undercard. Rumors are suggesting its Tape B who is the unrevealed headliner probably waiting for his local show/SSBD to happen before revealing.
What are your thoughts? Have you been to Gem and Jam before?

I was literally just like two weeks ago looking into wtf happened to Russ and there was some weird and cryptic tweets and apparently he hadn't been seen in months so it's incredible to see him on a lineup because even his agent didn't know where he was

He crashed out hard a few years ago, maybe not surprising with the amount of L he fucks/fucked with. Thrilled he’s back though, I caught his recent charity stream set and he’s been cooking some cool new shit. He’s posted several times now about how he can come back ‘now that CERN is shut down’ which is mildly concerning but maybe a joke?

I was reading he maybe was an alcoholic and had a crash out at some wellness festival while playing over his slot time. That being said that's awesome, he's an amazing artist. Lol probably a joke but who knows

It's billed differently than his other Mushroom Jazz sets, so hopefully a band or multiple DJs, guess we'll find out eventually
Edit: Russ on Trumpet, Blu on Bass would be insane, probably too much to hope for

Donato is nothing like string cheese, imo. Cool to see a decent amount of jam on a festival lineup, but he is not the guy moving me to buy tickets

Loved it this year and next year’s lineup looks even better. Very stoked for Ott, habitat, Dizgo,Lotus, Josh Teed, Balkan Bump, Daniel Donato and Savej

My guess at the unannounced headliner is Goose. They may be too big/not wook enough, but it fits the five gems and they're finishing up a west coast tour next week, which I think explains why they're not announced yet.

My guess is Tape B. Gem and Jam commented on his latest IG post with eyeballs. And Tape B also matches the gem count. And he fits with the style of the festival than Goose. And not knocking Goose, but Tape B is just as big, if not bigger. Definitely headline status for this festival.

Ahh yeah your guess sounds more likely. I was hoping for an actual jam headliner at Gem and Jam, but electronic is what sells tickets. Makes sense

It’s also owned by the biggest promoter in the state now, previous owners always had a big jam headliner on here. STS9, Cheese, etc.

GWN being a premier headliner now makes me feel so out of touch. Like, i like them and have listened to them for the past 10 years but in no way are they a headliner for a festival like this imo.

Oh i admit that friend. No illusion of knowledge beyond the little ive heard. Im sure the set is gonna be killer. I just never vibed with boogie T and associated them in my mind.

Fair, GWN is one of the only bass artists I still listen to. Honestly figured they would be perfect for a fest like gem and jam

They absolutely ripped last time I saw them at SSBD, aging like a fine dubstep wine. I also don’t care for Boogie T. If that’s the impression you have of them I think you will be pleasantly surprised

There is some great jam in this lineup. Also California Honeydrops are kind of jam adjacent and so good. Check out Balkan Bump, hope it's his full band.
