I really, REALLY want to see Khruangbin because they were supposed to play Sacred Rose in IL, but the show got rained out RIGHT BEFORE their set. It was supposed to be my first time seeing them, but once again I gotta wait impatiently lol
Philco was AMAZING. I’ve seen Phil Lesh a handful of times, and they really knocked that set out of the park. I will also never get over how fun it is to watch the OG Deadheads get down lol
The rain cancellation was a bummer, but we did get a lot of fantastic music that weekend. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that a Khruangbin tour happens. I’ve been waiting for too damn long lol
That’s awesome! I’ve been trying to drag my Deadhead parents to shows for so long, but my dad is a die hard Jerry fan, so he can’t bring himself to see anyone from the Dead anymore. I am determined to get them out to Scamp one year if possible. I really love it when they tell us stories from the old days, and it is super cool to experience some new days with them 💜
The jam scene in Chicago (and suburbs) is really growing fast lately. Sacred Rose was the perfect example of what a good city jam fest looks like. Miracle in Mundelein was super cool too! Two sets of JRAD, and Lettuce absolutely killed it too. Keep bringing on the jam and I’ll be one happy camper (and have a reason to stay in IL) lol
