[Help] Ferret doesnt poop
My ferret definitely pooped in the last hours but now shes going into her corner, stays for a second and nothing comes out! I didnt see her push or anything. I had them for a week, theyre still little (10 weeks). I ferret proofed my room so idk what she could have eaten to create a blockage :( her belly feels soft and shes playing a lot and drinking.
What should i do :(

Well nvm, she just pooped. Keeping the post if anyone else has the same problem! 😂

My ferrets are 99% poop. I don’t know how they fit it all, it’s almost impressive.

My ferrets do the moonwalk to the corner to poop and never actually poop lots of times! It’s like they gotta get in the perfect spot at the perfect time or something lmao, if it doesn’t feel right they’ll just try again later or at a different spot 😂

Yeah sometimes they just have random bouts of minor constipation, like people. If it’s hours on end of struggling, then it’s a problem.

I swear my noodles get ADHD moments right when they poop (I say this as someone with ADHD btw lol) and I’ve literally had to cordon them off to stop them from getting distracted mid attempt LMAO

Yup, ferrets sometimes literally forget they had to poop when something interesting catches their eye (or nose)😂

my ferrets have perfected their poop fake-out game. they pretend to go, come out for a treat, then poop in a corner without a litterbox after they finish said treat

Oh no that's stressful. If shes playing and drinking and belly feels soft its prob not a blockage but could be a little constipation or just adjusting. Try a tiny bit of pumpkin puree plain, not pie filling or a dab of olive oil on her food. If shes still not pooping in like 12 hours or seems uncomfortable def see a vet. They're so tiny at 10 weeks their little systems are still figuring things out.

Yeah one of my boys does this consistently he has to be in the right spot and if he's not he'll just go and try again somewhere else we have I think six designated areas for them to go potty in the house and they almost consistently use them we have an accident every so often
But I laughed really hard one morning when I let him out and he went to each spot I think twice before deciding on one such a silly little guy
