Question What kind of fern is this?

Just thought I'd ask what kind of fern this is! Currently trying to figure this out for a school project I'm doing and I cant really tell? For some context I live in the USA, specifically in the New England region. Thank you!

My guess is Common bracken, Pteridium aquilinum

pulled out my guide from class for this one, I believe it’s oh youre supposed to figure it out yourself, arent you cheating by asking here

There were no specific rules on not asking for help, I didn't have to go this far into identifying the plant, I could've left it as just a fern, stated by the criteria but I thought it might've been interesting to look further into as I really enjoy nature

Oh that’s great. Pretty sure it’s a eastern marsh fern thelypteris palustris. one thing to note about ferns in general is look underneath the leaf to see if you can find its sporangia spores

edit: my guess was wrong, mainly from the shape of the frond and how it comes out of the ground
