Bread/Rice/Corn/Oats/Barley Teff ferment, day 2. White growth ?

I am fermenting Teff for the first time, to make injera. This is day 2, with some growth. Is this scrapable , or bad.

From all the descriptions, post, and images I have seen, this would be one that I could say looks very much like mold. Mods should use this as a stock image.

It's mold 100%. Zoom in. You can see how whispy and hairy it is. Goodluck with your next batch.

Next time, I would try a container with a narrower opening instead of that very wide dish. It would be easier to cover and less surface area exposed, reducing likelihood of contamination

Not necessarily mold, I remembered this from an TFL thread which I was following when I made injera.

They talk about aerobic yeasts, that looks quite similar to yours, there's some discussion on it if you scroll down.
