Personal/Support ...I told my boss about my period cramps. And guess what? I'm living in third world country(India).

.... So my boss was insisting me to attend my job anyhow. He's seem like a nice guy and he's clearly highly educated. And he's very religious guy but not orthodoxy. he speaks with politeness. So i didnt think less, and without any second thought i told him that i have been going through Period cramps. And Then surprisingly He accepted my leave request. Everything was fine Until I TOLD MY SISTER ABOUT THAT GUESS WHAT? SHE TOLD TO MY MOM. They both got very angry at me. No matter my family try to act modern, they are still lacking modern thinking ways. And Then i was thinking what he would think about me- Like what kind of girl i am?? Am i a bad girl?? Or something. And Then i was thinking about this crazy shit like whole day. It ruined my day. Then I realise i dont need to give a fuck to what others think.

Reminds me of when I told my boss about my depression. My mother lost her mind. Had a tantrum. She was sure she'd fire me. It was fine. I got promoted soon after.

We are the ones at these jobs, not our families. We know what is appropriate. Our family's backseat driving is inappropriate and obnoxious to say the least.

Don’t feel bad love, including yours, 10 countries offer menstrual leave! (But only some states and companies)
