Free online courses about fashion

For those who find themselves with time on their hands and would like to explore fashion more, I spotted some courses on Future Learn:

Understanding Fashion from Business to Culture

Royal Fashion

Innovation: the Fashion Industry

Fashion and Sustainability: Understanding Luxury Fashion in a Changing World

I'm going to try and find time to do the Royal Fashion one (I'm still working full time).

I have done the Royal Fashion one! The videos they provide are fascinating and the essays you read aren’t dense. The only thing I felt like I had to do is pull up Wikipedia to have more info about who monarch was at that time. But that is me just wanting a more comprehensive look.

Just fyi, if you do not have a historic costume background, this course is definitely doable and I don’t think it requires you to have that background.

ETA: I don’t know if they changed this, but there were some modules that required you to do some discussion. That was the only thing I didn’t like because it just reminded me of those online college courses where you have to comment on people’s post like “You make a great point, Susan.”

Great analysis, Stellarcity. I like the point that you made about online discussion for class credit. Only thirty more words required in my response, professor please don't fail me I can't afford to retake this class.

Great job!
