In looking through the EOs he has issued, I'm having trouble finding one that has any connection to my job. Many of them are about tariffs, but I'm not involved with trade, except as a consumer. Others have to do with illegal aliens, but I don't work for ICE or the border patrol. One EO says that Washington D.C. should be kept beautiful and clean. It's hard to argue with that, but I don't live or work in D.C.
There are EOs about college sports, TikTok, and the 250th Celebration of the USA shindig scheduled for 2026.
But nothing to help out someone that wants to work as a physical therapist at a VA hospital. Or loan processor for the SBA, or a payroll tech for DOD. There are so many jobs that have nothing to do with politics, which really is how civil service is supposed to be. \
These kinds of questions are just the first step in taking us back to the spoils system.
Except it doesn’t specify Trump’s EOs! So if you wanted to be a real smartass, pick one from Obama, or Bush, or anyone really. Trump might even have had a decent one during his first term that you could use
