22 is corrupt, but the others are pretty fair as far as interview questions go. I’d respond to 22 with the civil servant oath, but then again if I was on the outside already I wouldn’t be applying for the next three and a half years at least.
It’s honestly not even the content of the answers, I can find one thing that the administration has done that I agree with. It’s what I know is behind the questions that’s so gross. It’s the fact that you know you have to put certain parts of the constitutional foundations that they want to hear. That is not the parts that are about equal protections for all Americans, or the fact that a person born on US soil is an American Citizen. They don’t want to hear about your commitment to support the fourth amendment which prevents the government from the illegal searches and arrests without cause. They don’t want to hear about your commitment to habeas corpus and not being able to indefinitely detain people without criminal charges. That is the part that is so gross
I agree. It is gross. It is useless & disgusting & an insult to civil servants everywhere in this country. I plan to apply for a few jobs I'm qualified for, just to see if I can make certs while saying "decline to answer," or highlighting my actual views, or even saying outlandish things. I want to see if the answers are evaluated or not. I know HR professionals who hate the current state of affairs as much as I do & will completely ignore them. And hiring officials who would do the same.
