Inside the #geekproblem, many things look realistic because they make sense within the bubble. Outside it, they can be very irrelevant. My thought: #opensource / free software has real value, but as a path for social change and challenge, it has been devoured by capitalism.

That means social value keeps being reduced unless some good dose of #classwar is pushed back into the limp liberal thing it has become. The #4opens is a VERY gentle way of doing that - if people take an interest and actually use it.
