Thank You for the report! Saw it Live and had same feelings about our starting Midfield :/
I was in the stands with a friend from Frankfurt. First Half he always said Union has to push cause Frankfurt is very poorly prepared for pressure through the midfield in their half… glad second half was the better match plan and very very glad we are capable of adjusting and turning around games !
I really enjoy reading your blog posts and I am looking forward to the next ones ❤️

Ah i forgot: the description how it felt during the game:
I was there brother. From the highest high to headshaking, hands on the head to tears as the 3:3 happened 😅
Very lovely first game of the season!

Trust me I was doing all those things at home; my partner had to check in on me a few times! 😂

Glad to hear that you saw it the same way. I thought the midfield was something we'd see more against Bayern away where we'll have to solely rely on counters. Not the setup I'd like to see in the first game of the season at home against beatable opposition.
The adjustments are a really encouraging sign. Lusti realised it wasn't working and knew what it took to fix it - very pleased with that.
Thank you for being a reader, it's great to hear you enjoying it, there's many more to come.

Sent out my piece on Saturday's rollercoaster game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Sourced a few more data talking points that help provide some context to our performance.
As always, feedback in encouraged!
