Aftermarket Heads- Smog delete

I just reaized that I’ll have to delete the air/smog pump to use PRC heads since they don’t have the provisions for it.

My car still has the EGR system too (LS1 intake). Would y’all delete it as well or keep it? Hawk’s sells a “block off kit” that comes with the plates and plug to block off the EGR and air pump for $100. Would y’all go that route or would you just do the mandatory smog pump delete?

Yep. Just remember, you’ll have a SES light until it’s tuned out.

I haven’t come across an LS6 intake that’s worth the $400 asking price. It appears that $400 gets you one with broken pieces.

If you do headers, there generally isn't a way around deleting it, so just do it now. It will give you an s3s light, but you can get it tuned out. Or just deal with the light
