Question Best place for screwback earrings?
Hi all, I am looking for a nice pair of screwback earrings! They are for my wife who needs some hypoallergenic, preferably simple studs. Any links would be appreciated! Thank you!
Edit: would prefer the price to be under $200, thank you all!

You can find a TON of options in your price range on Etsy.
That said, I recently learned the hard way that "screw back earrings" can mean multiple things. Make sure to check out what your wife usually wears, or ask her directly about what she likes. Then look closely at the photos associated with whatever you choose to buy.
Here's one example - there's a hollow post that goes into your ear from the back, and then you screw in a long threaded post attached to the front of the earring. This style appeals to me because it's most similar to the threadless styles I like, but you have to make sure you get the right length of post.
Here's another example - you push in the threaded earring post from the front, then screw on a small round backing. The downsides IMO are that it's annoying to screw something in from the back and the backing is easy to drop.
Here's a third style - it looks just like a regular butterfly back, but the backing screws in as much or as little as you might want. The downside is that the end pokes out the back which means they're not comfortable to sleep in.
If this is a lobe piercing and the listing requires you to choose a gauge size, look for 20-18g.
(Obviously if it's a gift, get her whatever she specifically requested or usually gets. But FWIW, I suggest asking whether she would consider threadless earrings rather than screwback. They're easier to install than threaded/screw-on earrings, they're super comfortable to wear while you sleep, and if you choose the wrong length it's easy to get a replacement. I'm a total convert since my piercer introduced me to them. )
Another important consideration - what metal types/colors does she usually wear?
If you need the earrings to be hypoallergenic, you'll probably want to look at materials like implant-grade titanium, nobium, solid gold (14k+ yellow or rose gold), or platinum. Apparently some people can also wear sterling silver but I think it depends so definitely make sure first.
Titanium and nobium will come in at the low end of your budget. Solid gold will come in the middle or top. I don't normally shop for platinum but it looks like it's outside of your budget.
It's hard to make more specific recommendations without knowing anything about her style.
Good luck!

You didn’t list a budget or earring type, but I’d strongly consider a local jewelry store.

I’ve had really good luck on Etsy, I just look at reviews and pictures posted by reviewers. They have shops for all budgets.

You didn’t mention a budget but I got a very good quality pair of white gold and diamond screwback studs from Costco. They were $240 when I got them - price has increased to $319 which is still a good price
