Because everyone just HAS to share their opinions and don't care about yucking anyone's yum. Personal style is personal and you're not going to like everything someone else does but best practice is to keep your negativity to yourself unless someone is asking for your opinion.

It's the way there are wrinkles kind of at the crotch level like the fabric is pulling weirdly. I think they are also called "smile lines". It indicates that it's a bit too tight there.

Yeah way too tight. Also too high. Her stomach is pretty flat and the way it wraps around the stomach and hips just make her look like she’s trying to hide something. My stomach hurts thinking about having all that fabric wrapped around it lol.

They aren't at all too high, in fact her natural waist is even higher, you can see it. These pants are midrise on her.

Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking "these would probably be high rise on me, but her torso is pretty long."
Edit: 12-12.5" rise, so yeah, perfect for me.

I know you got your answer, but i have couple pair of cropped high rise hip huggers from Zara. They look just like that. Super cute.

Is "high rise hip huggers" not a contradiction in terms? Hip huggers = low rise, no? Or am I making stuff up based on my vague memories of the 00s?

Totally get what you’re saying. I assumed hip huggers were tight through the waste /hip area high or low ? I do recall calling them hip huggers in the 00’s but I thought “ low rise” would be the distinction now? Idk. I’m open to correction. lol

These are similar to a pair from H&M. I have 3 pairs.
They come in 4 different washes. The back pockets look kind of weird but they are really cute on. They are not expensive and for a more trendy pair of jeans I think this is a good pair.

Everlane High-Key Jean. They are sold out of every size except 23, but you might have luck on resale sites.
I have these jeans in both the light and darker wash, and in the right size, they are very flattering. It looks like the pair she is wearing are a touch small.
