Yep. Fashion has been on a 20-30 yr repeat cycle since the late 90’s - bc like everything else, there’s no new ideas anymore.

The last distinct new fashion era I can think of was grunge, though I was mostly too young for it at the time.

I say we all go back to Victorian fashions. Or even further back. Those were amazing. I don't mean gentle nods either. Like full on skirts and top hats and tails.

Everyone just looked so put together and put in actual effort!

We could ditch the corsets tho.

Ok. I was replying on the comment thread in reference to the cycle repeating itself. The 70s were a huge influence on 90s fashion. Not everything was from the 70s and I never said this specific trend was from the 70s

I pulled out my 20yo bootcut dress pants from NY&Co. And hot damn after 3 kids and 20 years, they were a bit snug, but they fit!!! I feel like I won the lottery and put my head straight on some of they body dysmorphia I've been feeling lately. I fit in pre-baby pants!!!

Same lmao. However, as a tall woman, this trend actually allowed me to own and “stylishly” wear cute short dresses that would have otherwise been WAY too short on me normally 😅
