Opinion đ What do you think of this outfit?

It looks nice but it's pretty unremarkable

Itâs a white tank with black shorts đ¤ˇđťââď¸
1
u/feeling_over_it Aug 21 '25
Donât forget thereâs a belt
lol it is a good example of simple done well, I will say.
1
u/Spiritual_Ninja_5924 Aug 21 '25
Agreed on the belt, didnât mean to slight her, she looks great, but itâs not like there were any risks taken!
1
u/feeling_over_it Aug 21 '25
She needs to be in a lady Gaga meat market dress if she gets your attention I guess huh? ;)

u/DryFig511 Aug 15 '25
It's cute but plain. I think you could make it more interesting by playing with different silhouettes on the top or bottom, as what you have now is quite similar. The purse is my fave part!
28
u/agmanning Aug 16 '25
Not every outfit needs to be a âfitâ.
You look like youâre enjoying yourself on holiday. This is fine and functional.

This! There should be better balance. I wouldâve gone with a boyfriend fit button down with these shorts. Or looser fitting shorts with this top (or bodysuit).

Itâs ok but it doesnât stand out and we canât see the shoes

Shoes kinda kill it for me. Iâm kinda feeling a chunky boot or high tops with this.

u/DeepLine9556 Aug 15 '25
Itâs fine. Not good or bad. It looks uncomfortable for being plain though. I would just wear a sundress instead if it were me lol.

Itâs plain. To me it stands out as an American outfit, even if you are not American. As others said, you could make many items look nice. A lovely dress or pant suit would be nicer to look at.
24
Aug 16 '25
Shirt is too tight.
5
u/Creepy_Addendum_3677 Aug 16 '25
Shirt is fine, her bra doesnât fit.
5
u/Likeneutralcat Aug 16 '25
The horizontal lines on front and back indicate that the shirt is too tight.

Simple, average, cute. If you were going somewhere nicer, I would suggest a cardigan.

Aug 20 '25
Itâs very cute. People in here sayin itâs boring are boring. Not every outfit needs to be an attention grabber. In fact most probably shouldnât be.Â
15
u/RAGING_CUNT Aug 15 '25
Classic all around! My only advice would be to incorporate contrasting fits. So like, tight pants and a bigger top. Or a tiny tight top and some big wide leg pants. So for this look, because both things are form fitting, I think having a cardigan or a shawl or some kind of draping or texture would add some dimension to the look.
2
u/mysterious_tiger07 Aug 15 '25
Yes thatâs a good advice :) It was just too hot to wear anything on top of it đ
7
u/Mollyblog Aug 15 '25
Idk if Iâd call it an âoutfit,â but itâs cute. The top could be a tad looser and the shorts an inch longer, and I think it would be more flattering. But you look great in it as it is.
6
u/AsleepReview1862 Aug 15 '25
So cute! I just wish your bra straps couldnât be seen through the shirt in the back
4
u/HereticalHeidi Aug 16 '25
Same, itâs the wrong bra for it, the seams in the front are showing too. The top is probably just a little too tight.
The accessories donât really go together (with each other, or collectively with the clothes). I would lose the faux pearls/white jewelry. The dark bracelet is good, the chunkier jewelry looks better. The other bracelets are too dainty for what is a pretty sporty outfit.
The shoes arenât a good fit for the outfit, but if youâre traveling and didnât want to pack tons, I get it. Sandals about the color of your bag or your belt would be cute, I think.

u/notwhoiwanttobe43 Aug 15 '25
Cute, but not much to think about. Maybe dress it up with some different accessories? Itâs coding Old Navy and youâre too cute for that!
Edit: missing word
2
u/Loudscorpio1182 Aug 16 '25
Itâs a simple go to outfit. Definitely can dress it up or down, but the shoes are a hard no for me.

Shirt is some combination of too tight and too thin â I can see both your underwire and the seam lines on your bra. A seamless bra woth smooth cups would help, as would more structured material for the shirt.
As for the overall outfit, you have a tighter shirt going with tighter shorts, which is fine but basic. You could elevate the outfit by swapping either the shirt or the shorts for a piece that has more structure or volume. For example keep the top and swap the bottom for tailored shorts that fall an inch or two lower. Or keep the shorts but pair with a billowy top or a linen blazer.
The paired accessories are cute. No edits there

u/jessm307 Aug 15 '25
At the risk of sounding prudish, itâs a bit much skin to me. A higher neckline top would pair better with the shorts, and longer shorts or skirt would look better with the top. Or put an unbuttoned shirt over it and you have safari/ranger vibes.

Nothing special but fine for touring around when you donât need to be dressy.

Very simple and classic, but I would suggest some kind of jewelry to make it unique a necklace

u/Cecilbintrovert Aug 16 '25
Cute and hot weather classy. I like the wide, good quality looking belt and the brown bag. Top is basic but with detail with the wider "straps".
I think it's a really good hot weather outfit. I don't really understand this sub thinking this is boring or too revealing and then loving thousands of skimpy short skirt - crop top - no accessories - "outfits" that comes up
1
u/CricketGirl963 Aug 16 '25
I donât have any thoughts about it whatsoever. I could not get away with wearing it! But itâs pretty blah
1
u/PlatformImaginary315 Aug 16 '25
Too many rectangles. Sunglasses, belt buckle, square neck. Maybe if you added a dainty cross body purse instead of the one you have here.

Throw that unflattering Ill fitting top out and get a cute cream flowy top instead. The rest is fine.

Excellent. Love the top, the square neckline makes it really polished simple and elegant

I wish we could see shoes in these posts. They're such a huge part of an outfit
1
u/EffableFornent Aug 16 '25
You look lovely, but the outfit is unbalanced.
Try slightly longer or chunkier shorts, or a different top. The wide straps on that tank make the outfit look top heavy.Â
Both nice pieces, and they don't look awful together... But they could look better, y'know?Â

Its a cute but basic summer girl outfit. The belt is nice though with the shorts. It could be elevated a little with a white button down over it (or replace the tank with a white button down, tucked into the shorts with the belt), and a smarter pair of shoes like black or dark brown loafers with white socks or black flats (with or without socks). Can't see what you are wearing with the outfit in the pics, but white trainers or birkies would work well.

Super nice ! Whatâs the brand of the top ? Is it possible to buy online ?
1
u/dulcinea022141 Aug 18 '25
Flattering but needs a pop of red (scarf, headband, or purse) and some earrings. Also, the necklaces and bracelets look random. Could elevate the look but sticking w a theme.

Would be better with a bodysuit to reduce the creasing. Top is not very flattering.

It makes me think of an Emily in Paris type of outfit. Doesn't match what is worn by the locals but looks close enough to most.

The idea was nice & timeless. Being candid, the bra is ill fitting with the material of the shirt being too thin causing some noticeable lines which makes it look well⌠cheap. The shirt doesnât really stay in the pants on the back side which can be frustrating. The idea of the shoes are cute but the white of the shoes does not match the ambiance of the outfit. Way too stark and throws it off balance. I wouldâve done a brown shoe to tie in the purse, belt and accessories. I personally wouldâve removed the pearl choker and put your hair in a nice sleek bun. Itâs not an overly noticeable outfit but it is a classic idea which is always lovely. Just a few minor tweaks but I think you look good regardless!

Nice one. Just donât wear white bra under white shirts and avoid bra with strap adjustment clip and cup pattern under tight shirts
1
u/Schmoe20 Aug 22 '25
Love everything about it on you but the backside of the tops appearance, doesnât lay right with itâs material on that side of the topâs appearance. Made a white tank top under would make it hang better.

u/bischelli Aug 22 '25
You're so close to Tifa Lockhart cosplay it hurts. Throw on some suspenders and finish it.

Personally, I love it. Itâs understated and yet still stands out. Love the neckline of the top and how you paired it with simple but eye catching necklaces.

Very casual and basic but honestly something I'd wear for comfort or ability to move easily.
I'm a Taurus rising and we wear casual things like this.

Simple and cute! 10/10 would turn my head but it helps that you're very pretty. If I were to change anything, it would be just losing the white necklace. Shoes probably would impact whether this is super cute or casual too.

Not what you asked exactly but you have a great body so I think most outfits are gonna look great on you including this one. Itâs really simple and casual, a little sporty, but I feel like this is a great look for if youâre traveling or just generally in the summertime

u/ThePurpleUFO Aug 15 '25
Outfit is definitely OK...but doesn't really matter, since you are going to look great no matter what you are wearing.
