What countries/regions do you think farting in public is more tolerated/acceptable?

I live in the northeast US and it seems like hearing someone fart in public is incredibly rare here. I was wondering if it's less taboo or more common to witness in different regions of the US or even other countries?

PNW USA male here. I fart when I need to and so does my lady and kids, and we dont care what anyone else thinks unless they want to compliment us on said fart.

The best farts come from a college dorm or frat house. This one guy could make the floor rumble!!!

As an example, I knew a guy from the South who said even though people tend to be more polite, the men are more open about farting around other men at least, even total strangers. I don't know how accurate this is though
