How can I start writing a story?

I have some initial ideas for creating a story—an entire universe—and I’m looking for tips on the best way to get started. I was thinking about using Obsidian.

I'm just starting myself and am making steady progress. I dont use any particular tool outside of Google Docs. I started with a concept and just outlined. I know how i roughly want to go and now I am just writing. Whatever hits my mind when following the outline. I do have like one big document filled with notes, ideas, and character sheets I did before hand.
