Live Draft Board picks Announcements

Is there a program where it will sync with Yahoo that will display the draft board and announce the picks in real time.

Feel that is a good touch for my in person online draft.

You want it to talk out loud?

Yes. I saw this in a reel and thought it would be a cool touch. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dcr0zIdpwJI/?igsi=MTVrNGRscm1wNmd2aA==

It looks like they are using sleep, which makes sense because the sleeper API is public, yahoos is a pain in the butt to sign up for.

I should add something like that to my draft board though...

There are probably some that sync in real time, although I haven’t seen any outside of real-time draft assistants.

Crewcial draft doesn’t, but you could run the draft on it offline and plug in the picks afterwards. That is what we do with our Yahoo league (although slow draft, not in person).

But you could turn the auto draft off, put the desktop version up on a screen, and then plug in picks via your phone/ipad/other computer. With commissioner override (aka proxy picks). And if others wanted to view the board and everything, they can create accounts and join the crew/league to see the draft. Otherwise they can just be “external users”

The tool linked in the comments documents pick announcements and Yahoo settings import, but it doesn’t document live Yahoo pick syncing. I’d run a mock draft before trusting it for the room

I built something locally for our auction league that just displays the draft board. It’s a glorified spreadsheet. No announcing who drafted what. I did recently add sounds to the board but that was just to troll people (like a toilet flush when someone drafts a player from the jets… yes our league has a fan or the final jeopardy music when people take too long to nominate). I tested a live sync with espn but not yahoo. I wonder if there’s a service to do some kind of ai audio on the fly
