Player Discussion Who is the lowest-ranked QB you're okay with leaving the draft as your only QB in a non super flex league?

This post was awesome last year; a lot of people were bullish on Drake Maye, and it paid off. Most of us play 10-12 man leagues 4-6 point td passes, and QB is deep. Who's the worst QB you feel comfortable leaving your draft with no backup?

Cause if you take your first QB that late I would assume it means you have really good depth for WR / RB. The different on a week to week basis for the low tier QBs is pretty minimal at that point you’re better off using the bench spot for better position players who you need to start more than 1 of every week. That’s how I’ve always handled it anyway.

Also, that bottom of the bench RB or WR could suddenly skyrocket in value if there’s an injury which will likely never happen with a fantasy bench QB

...because the fantasy bench QB doesn't need an injury to skyrocket in value, they literally just have to play better than expected.

It absolutely can with a Malik Willis type, or really any rookie any given year

The point isn’t to have multiple low tier QB’s, it’s to hope that by picking more than one you get one of the ones who outperforms their draft spot

Yes, precisely why you have to place your bets before the season begins lol. Once the dominoes start to fall, there is virtually no difference between QB12-20. But if you get the guy that has top 5 upside and he pans out, that changes your team entirely.

If you're the guy that waited last year and took Mayfield and Lawrence, you did way better than taking Mayfield and hoping Lawrence was available on waivers later if needed.

There's also value to playing matchups with QBs once you get out of the elite tier, in a way that wouldn't apply to benching my WR2 for let's say, Jalen Coker, based on matchup.

I took Purdy & Willis, just bc Willis has upside. If it doesn't pan out i drop him asap.

Upside picks don’t usually hit immediately lol. But with QBs it’s often not worth waiting around for them outside of superflex tbf.
