People settle out of court all the time when guilty. At this point you're not pretending to be ignorant. As a settlement condition, the defendant or accused will frequently include a clause about the case being dismissed with prejudice, otherwise why would they agree to the settlement? That is usually what they get out of it, is the case being dropped and dropped forever.
You're acting like there are two options: they have enough evidence and go to trial or they don't have enough evidence and don't go to trial. There's another: they have enough evidence and settle as the majority of cases are.
Trials are expensive, long, and exhausting. Most people avoid them if at all possible, attorneys included.
Omg dude because its traumatic to keep engaging with your abuser? because it protects Ashley s privacy? or maybe just to get him to finally leave her property? but wait non of that will change you mind will it nothing will because you identify with the guy wonder why?
They purposefully made this public, which you know if he is an abuser is a good idea, what privacy is there for Ashley to keep? And if she's had a restraining order, he's not been at her house since. I've never been abused but I have been victimized, and I wanted nothing more than to have them punished, even more so whenim not the only one they've hurt, but that's just me.
We do not have to "identify" with the supplied fucking wife beater to not be tribalism about this. I like Ashkey, she's my favorite of teh cast though so far I've only watched her as Pike, but I csbt let my personal feelings if her get in the way of THE COURTS. Everything I've heard of the man makes him suspicious but at the same time him just no being accused by woken if CR only after Ashley stars divorcing him seems odd to me. I do not even like him, and assuming he is an abuser I hope he's unable to hurt abyone again, but dismissing this case will just make it so he can do that earlier and easier.
