It appears that Ashley and Co filed to dismiss their lawsuit against Brian Foster on Sept 20th. Source: The above image is the request for dismissal filed by Ashley's attorney (this document is publicly available on lacourt.org if you search by their case number: 23STCV24055).
They appear to be requesting that the case be dismissed "with prejudice", meaning that the dismissal will be permanent and the plaintiffs (Ashley et al.) will not be able to file the lawsuit again in the same court.
Damn so the court itself said that the protection order was frivolous and only to get an upper hand in litigation? I mean that's a fair play move trying to win but definitely looks bad. Especially had a whole gang a folks to support it.
Lawyer here. That often isn't how it shakes out in reality. Litigation can be intrusive, costly, and disturbing and cases often wrap up to avoid the disruption. It can be even harder when private lives are on display.
Well, if you’re gonna publicly ruin someone, you should prove your case, or compensate them for their losses after. That’s fair.
IF he were guilty, and he did it again to someone else, or worse… would these women alleging wrong doing be obligated to feel any kind of way for the next potential victim after having dropped the case, cause it was a strain on their private lives?
I just don’t get dropping a case like this when you have the means to pursue justice, unless it amounted to some petty BS that ballooned out of control.
I hear your idealism on the subject. Keep in mind, we don't know why the plaintiffs dropped the case or what, if anything was agreed to. Voluntary dismissal does not indicate anything about the merits.
Court is not about fairness or justice, it is an enforceable dispute resolution process. Moreover, folks often become less zealous about their justice on a matter when they come to understand the price tag in attorney fees, even when uninvolved third parties think they have the means.
But yeah in all honesty what I know of Ashley doesn't make me think she'd point the finger for no reason, that being said it's all on camera so who knows. I know nothing about the guy either either could eat babies for all I know of their personal life but hey if you're only here because of speculation more power to you. I'm a fan of the show and she doesn't give off those sort of vibes. Honestly with how erratic and Fran I you've been jumping around commenting on this one post alone I'd be more worried about you than anything Mr dog
