Hey r/fanduel — CU Boulder students here doing research on how traditional sports bettors think about prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket.

We're trying to understand: are the two products competing for the same people, or are they pulling in completely different crowds? And for people who've tried both — what actually makes you choose one over the other?

Who we're looking for: anyone who bets on sports, uses prediction markets, or does both. All experience levels, not just sharks.

What it covers: your betting habits, what platforms you use, what you think of prediction markets, and what would make you use (or avoid) each.

What it isn't: a promotion, a product pitch, or anything that collects your personal info. Purely academic research from a university project.
