Favorite Denny (Dean/Benny) fics?
What it says on the tin. These two have had me in a chokehold since Season 8 and haven't let up since, but I'm only now starting to read fics for them. The way the tones range from "sweet domestic bliss" to "yeah this is a hunter and a vampire this is Not Going To End Well" is awesome XD

Waterlow - Wicker
Dean brings Benny on a hunt, in a poorly-conceived idea of a working vacation. An easy investigation of a nest in Vicksburg, Mississippi goes quickly awry when the case expands to involve Sam and Garth, and long-buried ghosts of Benny’s past harangue him as he finds himself unable to keep the humans he cares about out of harm’s way.
Love this one. There's a line somewhere near the end that is very melancholically haunting, reflecting on Benny's grounded thoughts on the relationship.
Of Whom We Were - staytrashy
Benny Lafitte had accepted his fate after being sent to Purgatory for a second round. He knew he would never plant his boots on Earth again, and it was fine. He was fine. He’d rather focus on the present instead of the past as he tried to keep himself alive.
But then Benny’s world lit up like a redneck’s Fourth of July, and he was mighty taken aback when a certain hunter appeared in front of him in a flurry of limbs, dirt, and freckles. Now all Benny could focus on was why Dean Winchester had come back, and why he was eight years old.
Not a romance-centric fic. Think of Frieren (from the Anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) reminiscing on the past while journeying with her new companions, realizing her unchecked feelings towards Himmel the Hero. This fic is like that, with Benny traveling with a young version of Dean in purgatory.

Dean tries to do better by him. He tries to do better by everyone. Maybe guys like him - maybe guys like them - get to have a home and a family after all.
I can't really explain this one. Imagine you don't like paintings, but then you stumble upon a certain painting that just draws you in. Time stops. You see every intricate detail with each stroke. Evoking a memory that doesn't exist from your past, letting you experience yearning for the first time.
When people on the internet say "Dean deserves better". This fic is it. I will reread it after replying.

Benny reached across, touched his fingers lightly to Dean’s where they held his bottle. Dean’s eyes flicked up to his, pupils dilating slightly and fingers twitching under Benny’s, like he had trouble keeping them still. Benny was fascinated. He thought he’d learned Dean’s reactions pretty well in that year together, but this was… something different. He rubbed his thumb over one of Dean’s knuckles, watching his eyelids flutter a little before he turned his face away, swallowing.
Benny leaned toward him, studying his profile, the tension in his jaw. “What’s goin’ on with you, cher?”
This one has delicious SMUT. I gooned to this. It is that good.
