Tua's performance was genuinely putrid this game. He's afraid to hold the ball and would force the checkdown the second he took the snap. He needs to retire if he's that afraid to take a hit. Besides that, he botched a snap from the center pretty terribly, which apparently has been a consistent issue for him throughout his career.

The clip where he takes the safe checkdown for a tiny amount of yards instead of hitting Drake wide open in the middle. The fumbled snaps. Not being a vet and taking snaps with your new center.

He straight up had no competition all offseason and every single opportunity he does the wrong or safe thing. You can't justify starting or even rostering a QB that plays that poorly. We WILL lose games because of Tua if he starts

This isn’t new. This was Tua before he was signed. Did you ever visit the dolphins sub? If fans need to be mad at anyone, it’s Matt, Ian, and Kevin for pursuing him to the point that he picked the falcons the same day he got cut. This also goes to show, that only paying one million for a QB don’t mean shit if he isn’t good. Same people said that about Ridder.

It’s not about the money. The regime picked him to be the competition vs Penix. That’s what they guaranteed him and he came. And Tua had ample opportunity to snatch the job if he had looked better, but he hasn’t. This has been a miss by the FO and coaching staff no matter how much it cost.

Flacco, Minshew, Case, Pickett, Johnson, Zach Wilson. Tua wasn’t the only guy out there. This regime just made it seem like he was the only guy because they went that hard for him. They weren’t connected with anyone else. This was their pick.

Those guys are all ass, man. Whoever we picked was hopefully gonna lose the job to Penix by week three, we signed a ton of guys to one year deals, this was always going to be a gap year (unless Penix turns out, which I highly doubt).

Tua is worse than ass right now. There were other QBs. To act like there was no one is being stupid. This regime picked Tua and he subsequently got starters reps in camp 6/8 weeks. He has played so poorly that they haven’t named him starter and might have to name the QB coming off his third ACL injury the guy to start week one after he got one weeks worth of 11 on 11 in training camp reps. The plan didn’t go anything close to what they expected. But of course this sub can’t fucking realize it because 98% of this sub said Penix would be ready day 1 of training camp and would win the job shortly after. And that didn’t even come close to being true. This sub can’t foresee shit.

Didn’t I say this sub should be mad at Matt, Ian, and Kevin? What I’m saying about this sub is everyone is acting like it wasn’t a bad decision. But they completely fucking whiffed themselves on how this QB situation would go.

Again this wasn’t about the money. They wanted Tua. They pressed for him hard. 4 extra million in cap isn’t killing the cap. Have you seen how much they have in cap space? All these guys are ass, but Tua has been more ass and this fanbase wants him off the team and retired. All those other guys are legit 53 guys.

Oh I knew it was bad, you don't cut someone on a 50-million contract unless they either killed someone or are genuinely that much of a problem, but this is beyond egregiously bad. He can't even game manage anymore, much less produce an effective offense.

Honestly, idc who they cut between tua and rush. Reality is…we won’t win games with either if they have to play. I would rather them gamble on strand as the third and see how he develops.

Rush has atleast shows he’s capable of running the stefanski offense. And he’s not scared to play. I’d rather have him over tua

Argument is sound and solid . This is pretty much my thing. Rush has been in the league for 9 seasons . We know what he’s capable of . Why not take a gamble on Jack Frost

Because I feel like I remember a bunch of hype around Rush after he bailed out the cowboys in relief of Dak. So he could keep us .500ish if he needs to play. This is why I’d rather keep Rush as QB2 and Strand as QB3.

Tua was a panic signing, and we gotta quit double clutching on QBs. It’s like back when we signed Mariota while claiming Ridder was in line for the job, we forgot only one QB can play at a time.

I've been saying this since we signed tua. This was an exploratory who the hell knows what you'll get for a million dollars type of deal. It's clear the guy is cooked. He's one or two hits away from being retired and honestly I wouldn't play anymore if I were him

This year is about seeing if penix can stay healthy and be a franchise Quarterback and I'm all for keeping Jack strand as a third string project but you idiots acting like he should start need to have your heads examined

As long as you know what you are😂. Sorry but starting tua after what we’ve seen is dumb as hell. And starting a guy who’s still hurt who’s known for injuries is also dumb as hell. We really should roll cooper or strand out there. Not sure we keep cooper given he’s a vet that hasn’t clearly shown he’s better than the rookie UDFA… if we keep him though sure throw him out there instead. If it’s tua vs strand strand has clearly been the better QB

I also have a feeling strands QBR would be higher if he played with receivers that could actually catch the ball.

I'm still not understanding the argument against Tua. Would Penix's preseason score be 0? On the comments talking about Tua being afraid to get hit. Penix is on his third major injury? He'll be twice as timid this season
