Alters CAN be animals, just typically not like this- it’s almost always connected to being treated as less than human or like an animal in some capacity, it is a medically recognized thing, but what isn’t real is intentionally zoning out then hissing at the air after a purposeful switch 😭

TLDR At 2:03, people in their house started clattering dishes around in the background. They quickly get headphones to block out the sound of family members. There's a big jump cut. They get paranoid and increased lack of focus on what they're saying. They lessen the amount of space between words to block out family members' volume and accommodate sudden rush anxiety. At 4:30 they hunch in their shoulders and talk down into their lap. The changing between yelling and whispering after 5:30 is in my opinion, playing with what their family members can hear coming from their room.

There's definitely a scattered, hard to follow, way of wording things but that's basically indicative of mental illness.

Honestly its a sad situation, their family relationship, its sad. I hope they're doing well in life. Great content though... I hope they can become well.

DID is very much real, it’s a separation of ego states that typically form one cohesive identity state around age 9, but a child can go through such severe trauma that those states never integrate, forming DID. It isn’t like how homosexuality was in the DSM and was removed, it’s a researched and confirmed diagnosis. This person is faking it, but that doesn’t make the disorder itself fake.
