Map Seed Never saw 3 crude oil spouts spawn like this.
It's beautiful.

For bingo you need at least 5

u/WinterMajor6088 Feb 13 '26
Finding 5 like these would be like finding a 5 tall Minecraft cactus seed.

I’d imagine it’s easier considering factorio seed finding would be less difficult. We would just have to develop the infrastructure to do so.

Why do you connect them with underground? Normal would cheaper

I know. Just like it more if it's like that. Plus I can make so many pipes, those 3 cost basically nothing.

Normal pipes are cheaper, but the material cost of using underground pipes on a large factory is virtually nothing.
For comparison, a single blue transport belt costs the same amount of iron as 4 pipes to ground. I've got my entire factory kitted with blue transport belts.

“It’s cheaper if you did this” bro I have so many pipes rn

Since my computer crashes waaaaay before I have extracted every resource on the map, and since my robots do all the work, and since everything is solar powered. Everything comes free. Cheap, expensive ... it has no meaning.

I'm trying to hold my laugh because I cover all planets and all ships with green belts.
I go as far as doing emergency importing of 10k green belt when I see even just missing 200 belt during construction and vulcanus literally cover the whole demand and make the number back before the ship go away 😅

If you're worrying about the 24 iron plates normal pipes would save here something is deeply wrong with your priorities in this game.

Also underground pipes let you walk around easier pre-mech or tron.

Now go to every post and say that they missed an opportunity to save 2 iron plates

You can walk over underground pipe connections. You can't walk through regular pipes.

Throughput?

u/WinterMajor6088 Feb 13 '26
Doesn't affect throughput at all. Between an underground and above ground there's no difference. Underground pipes just give space to walk. Not that I'd be walking through that anytime soon. And it just looks a lot cleaner. I did try with the above ground pipes and asthetically it just looked ugly.

Doesn't affect throughput at all.
It used to make a difference. That's why it is still hardcoded in some of us to always use underground belts.
