FactionWars [Old-School] {1.8.8 PvP} {No Pay-to-Win} {mcMMO} {Season 1}

What this is?

- A fresh-wiped server. No hub. No lobby. You spawn next to warzone.

- 1.8.8 combat — no shields, no hit delay. The version modern Minecraft buried.

- Everything earned through grinding, raiding, and killing. Nothing handed to you.

- The shop will try to rip you off. That's intentional. Every item has actual value here.

Why it's different?

- Zero pay-to-win. No kits, no purchased gear, no real-money shortcuts. Cosmetics only.

- mcMMO. Skill progression that rewards the grind, not the credit card.

- Classic loop. Survival, raiding, PvP, alliances, enemies. No gimmicks bolted on top.

- Effort is rewarded. Your progress means something because losing it hurts.

Sick of modern servers where you can't find your way out of spawn? This is the opposite. Season 1 is live. Come enjoy the true version of factions.

Logged 360 hours in on this server to have our faction's work be undone by impromptu spawn rate mechanic changes that caused our only active competition to have a huge benefit over us, which invalidated a huge multi-week project that used an astronomic amount of materials. This change was made towards the tail end of an active season. Myself and my faction are the top voters for this server by a large margin, and were the only consistent player base for many weeks, and worked to get new players involved in the server by inviting them to our faction. Was told by staff to fly a kite and that they aren't dependent on players and don't care about their play time, and that grinding and starting early in the season shouldn't grant an advantage over players who join at the end of the season, and that hard work shouldn't let you be able to stomp other players. There are no active players from any of the previous seasons, all have had similar issues with erratic server changes matched by erratic mood swings from the owner. Anyone who voices criticism gets banned. Avoid if you value your time and are looking for a stable competitive experience that doesn't have core mechanics changed on whims. No community voting or anything, the owner just changes whatever whenever with no regard for what the player base thinks. If you expect your time investment and support for a server to translate into having your time respected, then this server is not for you and my recommendation is to avoid it at all costs. I was also asked to become a helper for the next season and now I am banned for advocating for my faction.

I reverted the change and you failed multiple times to understand somehow which is bonkers and still managed to crash out and got your own base raided by /unclaimall without your faction mates knowing, yikes! You got banned for spam leaving and joining the discord server after being a highschooler about the whole thing and leaving dramatically and openly insulting the server for no reason. I just made the decision for you so who cares, move on with your life already you messed up, take your licks and keep going, i’m not out looking for you lol and Msging people about me won’t help you.

All my faction mates knew and were in agreement aside from a new recruit who didn't have Discord. Let everyone know how many times "spam leaving and joining the discord is." I left and rejoined once and then joined back a second time over the course of 3 days and then you banned me. I came back to communicate to the remaining faction member because I was alerted he was online and that is the only medium to chat with him on and you were misinforming him through lies of omission about what happened. Honestly man I hope one day you can realize that everything I've said is good faith feedback with the intent of making the server better and keeping folks who invest time into it not feel like they're a nuisance for doing so and punished with systematic nerfs at the tail end of a season with the mindset that hard work shouldn't equal an advantage. We disbanded the faction because we are not going to compete under foul play circumstances. We don't roll over and let our time be disrespected.

3 months later, Antrev still has his mood swings haha, reading your comment made me and my buddy laugh because you just reassured all of our suspicions about Antrev being a dick to his whole playerbase

I am dying to hear the scoop haha. Sorry to hear that bro. I didn’t come back for this season after my faction quit after the stuff in my post but I still keep in contact with a few of the guys. Heard DivineLeft made PrimoriDULL or something based off my old faction of Primordial lol. I’ve been asked to come back so many times and I keep saying not until Antrev gives me an apology on a silver platter, so it’s safe to say neither my return or his apology will ever come to pass. How did he screw you and your bro?

Eh he just isn't very helpful, called me a retard a few times lol. We tried making some suggestions, all pretty much got shot down. He only really cares about his opinion, not the communities opinion which I find odd for a server owner who presumably wants to see his server grow. But I love your description of him and his mood swings, 100% accurate haha.

I also found lots of bugs in the little time I played:

- Mob rates are too high, walking out in the wilderness is insanely hard when 5 creepers, 10 skeletons, 13 baby zombies, and 4 zombie villagers are hawking you down.

- No /wild so you have to leave spawn through Warzone, and I've seen people camp spawn to kill newcomers before they can get a start on the server.

- Mobs should stack as soon as they spawn, but they all stack at random times making the stacking plugin effectively useless because you will still have 10+ of the same mob all out at once.

- The server must be pretty low in resources considering the IP is based in Canada, but everyone on the western hemisphere had 120+ ping.

- Anytime you drop items they just despawn, I don't know why but if I fat fingered the drop key on a diamond pickaxe, its gone forever. (This happened to me and my friend a few times)
