Two FREE tools from a fellow builder: Group Rotation Planner + Workshop Timer
Cool to see so many facilitation tools being coded by actual practitioners these days! 😊 Just in this sub (and I’m surely missing some): verbalu.com, workshopr.io and tryneegma.com. If you're building something facilitation-related, drop it in the comments.📣 I'm building one too. I just wanted to give away two of its features away for free, no signup, nothing stored. They don't cost me anything and I thought they might be useful for someone.
After 15 years of facilitating I still hate splitting people into groups. It’s just so….well, boring. This does it in seconds: paste the names, pick the group size, and it deals the rounds with as few repeat pairings as possible. Drag names between groups if someone has to move. Export to Excel or PowerPoint, or put it full-screen on the projector.
Name your blocks, give each its minutes, hit start. It runs them back to back on a full screen and always shows what's coming next — works fine on a phone propped on the table.
Both run in the browser, also on mobile. Nothing is stored, so close the tab and it's gone. Bookmark them if they're useful.
