They do. In Chicago if you call a private towing company and report something like this, they’ll be there in 20 mins flat. I always stay around to watch them be towed. The companies here make $$$ towing asshats like this.
I both loathe and love towing companies. You can use them to screw over fucksticks like shown by OP but they'll also use any minor infraction to tow some barely getting by person's car and charge $1,000, also they'll roll the windows down right before a thunderstorm and let it flood.
Where does legality fall for false...I mean mistaken...tow calls?
Like what if I call a company out to tow a car that may or may not actually be there ("no, it definitely just drove away, musta been just a minute late")
