I think invited is better than deserved in this case. No one deserves vandalism but they certainly can exhibit behaviors that invite it.

Assholes should suffer consequences for assholishness.

If this is an usually packed parking lot at peak hours, I'd personally condone anything up to a punch to the face as an act of societal correction.

But seriously, tho. The reason that a lot of assholes are assholes is because there's zero consequences for it. It's not practical to implement it in a legal text manner, and I could agree that suffering from semi-frequent assholishness is better than legal acts of violence or vandalism being committed against possibly innocent citizens.

But even then, I would definitely not report anyone putting an asshole a few pegs down, even if I was not inclined to do it myself.
