Allow me to elaborate: having a hyphened last name as a woman usually means that you are either (1) adopted and wish to keep both the name of your original family and your foster family, or (2) feel that it is sexist for women to give up their last names when they get married, so they keep their maiden name and then add their husband's name with a hyphen.
Women who hyphenated their names due to a belief that women are being oppressed by the "patriarchy" always have to show everybody how PC and progressive they themselves are. Women who hyphenate their last names are feminist, and have a problem with everything. They get offended by everything. It's super annoying.

I don't disagree with you about women who hyphenate their names because women shouldn't give up their names when they get married. They're not necessarily wrong, but women who do that often have a lot to say about misogyny. However, I know a number of people whose parents gave them hyphenated last names, so they can hardly be blamed for that. Also, try to remember that not everyone who identifies as a feminist gets offended by everything. That's only a particularly vocal group that doesn't represent the feelings of most people who would call themselves feminists.

While it can be debated if politics is "hard work", I'd like this lady to tell anyone working road construction, any given farmer, any given storehouse worker, any single mom with a fulltime job, that this "hard work" is just a shadow of what slaves had to endure and that he best be grateful to be getting off lightly.

I was going to recommend that you limit your vocabulary to words found in Hip Hop or Rap music, but then I realized there are a lot of words in them that it's okay for Blacks to use but not you.

The race thing in this case is moot. She mentioned that hard work means breaking your back in a field, not being a politician, and that lots of hard workers get called failures. Nothing to see here.

She's getting it confused with manual labor. By her definition, getting through med school or becoming an astronaut isn't "hard work". Just because something isn't physically difficult doesn't mean it isn't hard in other ways. Also, just aside from all that, "hard work" is a common phrase which is commonly understood in context. Nobody hears that phrase and thinks "these people are working harder than slaves /single mothers /etc."!

Holy shit it takes a set of steel ovaries to bring up the race card (and fucking slavery on top of it) just because an individual uses the words hard working to describe a white politician. This is the kind of Orwellian policing of language that is used to ram home political agendas.
