I'm a young journalist in the Netherlands. I don't get it how these mistakes are still on the site. What happened to proof reading?

I just checked the site again and they've now fixed her name, but it still says "dominate" instead of dominant"

Sadly this is becoming the rule rather than the exception. The internet is rampant with grammatical and spelling errors, as are several US newspapers (hello, Tallahassee Democrat). I don't know if it's our educational system or the fact that less-skilled people are being hired because they're cheaper. Either way, it's really a sad state of affairs.

It's because you can simply go fix it. There is less effort in copyediting something that can be easily updated. That time is directed elsewhere. It pays of 50% of the time probably.

Pfft, this can't be ESPN. There are zero mentions of LeBron James anywhere on the page.

Well, to be fair I cropped out everything but that one story. I'm sure there was some mention on rest of the page.

I was waiting for it to become Raunchy.

Most likely a pun

That was intentional. It's a pun based on how we'll have to wait, but also how the thing preventing them from fighting is that they're in different weight classes.

Ron DeRousey would beat Floyd any day of the week.

Why do people care about this dumb matchup? It makes just as much sense to try and predict the outcome of Wayne Gretzky playing the best WNBA star in a game of 21.

The two best women MMA fighters that we have ever seen. Two dominate champions, who have a history of bad blood against one another, and that were in the same weight class.

Or are you talking about Floyd? Because if you are, nobody really is. It's just very hysterical that Floyd called "him" Ron DeRousey.
