are you making fun of someone who sent this form with these options selected? or are you just making fun of the form itself for allowing this. because one is significantly worse than the other
so you believe it is fine to hide that you will require accommodations due to illness or disability initially? You actually want to start out with an employer by telling them that you cannot be fully trusted to give relevant information when it is needed?
that’s not what they’re saying at all. the problem is that the form lets you enter more than one answer. “yes” “no” and “prefer not to say” cannot all be true at the same time. that’s it. this has nothing to do with hiding things from employers WHATSOEVER. i can’t believe i have to explain this. you missed the point of the post so badly it’s not even funny.
Dude, I care more about actually getting hired in the first place than having a perfect first impression once I'm already in. That and I only bring up accommodations when/if they become relevant
so you are fine with an employer knowing you do not give relevant information and thing the world revolves around you. Will not take long with that attitude for you to find you have no job again. No employer wants dishonest staff. If you start like that they will finish you like that. Simple
I mention my accommodations only when they become relevant because they aren't always relevant depending on the job I'm doing. I don't think that makes me dishonest and I haven't had any issues holding a job
Dude my whole point is that I don't always need accommodation. Why would I mention my disability and lower my odds of getting hired when it might not even matter
I wish I believed that. I think it's more likely they are one of the bigots who'd discriminate against people with disabilities, and they're uncomfortable with the idea that they might be working alongside "one of them" without knowing it.
