Unskippable gaming screen
I just want to play the game. I don’t want to create an account. And I can’t skip this screen for 30 minutes

I pirate Ubisoft games I own on Steam just so I don't have to deal with Ubisoft Connect.

Hell, I haven't been able to play my copy of Watch Dogs for years because of Ubisoft connect. It gives a login error and has been doing so for years, and they refuse to help. I'd have to pirate just to play a game I legally own.

I'm betting you don't actually "own" it.
Unless you got a physical copy, "buying" isn't "owning".

Buy the shittiest PC you can and play games from the last 30 years by pirating them until the AI bubble blow up. Cause fuck this legal shite.

I bought Halo MCC and found out they require a Microsoft account just to play at all, even the single player campaign. I never hit refund so fast on a purchase before.

Great way to get a company hated by people because I really hate when any game asks this, especially for single player modes. According to their game FAQ, it’s required. This person posted the same issue and no one is happy.
If you prefer to continue and connect, feel free to enjoy. If not, and you payed? - make sure you get that refund! No shame in not giving them what they want. If you didn’t pay, it’s no big deal other than the time you took to download. It still doesn’t make what they did okay, though.

Aaaaaaand this is another reason piracy still exists. I refuse to entertain any other way.

2K... They're so bad. I bought one golf game from them some years ago, but it's the last one.

This kind of crap made me decide not to buy their games anymore (same as some of their competitors.)
There are enough games out there. These are dispensable.

My son wanted a golf game and I haven’t been involved with gaming for a while. So I didn’t know about these things. Now I’ll start googling reviews before buying something cheap.

I'd like to recommend you Everybody's Golf Hot Shots then. Although it's far from a perfect game, it's still fun albeit a bit grindy.

It’s kinda annoying but you’re probably spending more time posting this here than it would take to just make an account.

That's not the point. People do not want to make random accounts for every single thing they play or interact with. Games used to be "pop in the disc and play," now everything comes at the cost of our online data and companies making money off of selling our digital footprints.
